Ghost citation monitoring
Find AI answers that cite your website without naming your brand, review the original answers and pages, and decide whether clearer brand information is needed.
A ghost citation means AI cites your page but leaves out your brand
Dageno first checks that the cited page belongs to your brand. It then reads the same answer for your official brand name and confirmed alternative names. If none appear, it records a ghost citation. This is different from listing all cited pages or tracking a saved URL.
Check citations and brand mentions separately
A ghost citation links to a brand-owned page without naming that brand in the same answer. Compare the rate with its underlying count, then inspect the original answers.

Check the citation and brand name in the same AI answer
A citation to your page does not guarantee that AI names your brand. Dageno checks the visible citation and the full answer for your official brand name and confirmed aliases.
Review the evidence before acting Open the full answer and cited page to check what happened. Each record keeps the question, AI model, region, and observation time so you can understand the result.

Check the answer, clarify the page if needed, and compare later results
A missing brand name is not always an error. Read the question, answer, and page first. If the page's ownership is unclear, improve its brand naming and useful product facts. Later, check whether answers citing the page also name the brand.

Common questions
What exactly is an AI ghost citation?
It is an AI answer that cites a verified page from your website but leaves out your official brand name and all confirmed aliases.
How does Dageno calculate the ghost citation rate?
Count the answers that cite your website but omit the brand name. Divide by all analyzed answers citing your website, then multiply by 100. Do not include answers that never cite your website.
Does a ghost citation prove that an AI copied the page?
No. It only shows that the answer links to your website without naming your brand. It does not determine copying or plagiarism, or measure traffic and sales effects.
Why can a brand page be cited while the brand is absent?
The question may ask for general advice rather than a brand. The page may also make its ownership unclear or use inconsistent product and brand names. These are possibilities to check in the full answer and page, not confirmed causes.
